Pick your Pain KB Escalator

After supper at the Crooked Oak , I grabbed a few coupons from the #F3Republic Trailer. Its not often we get to push iron at the #Anvil.

Since it was the night after a 2nd F late supper, I had some doubts on a big turn out this morning, but gladly I was wrong! Fog settled in on a cool 60deg morning. First PAX (Postal) arrived on foot, as usual. He helped me plan the pain game.

Date of Beatdown:

Warm-Up-Gig:
Yeah you all know the drill.
#Mumblechatter, show off deer mount, one minute warning, and gas was already building.
Warm up with movement as Q called out exercises.
We are a talented bunch, we move our mouths and arms at the same time.
We kept the conversation going while knocking out Baby Arm Circles, Overhead Presses, windmills, and TTT. Then they got quite on the IC of the following:
30 SSH IC
30 Mountain Climbers
30 Shoulder Taps
25 Imperial Walkers

The Thang That Surely Happened:
Mosey over to the rectangle football parking lot.
Marry yourself to a coupon kettle bell...
Pick your pain: 25lbs - 50lbs
Grab one and carry it with you as we do the following:
Bent Over Rows, Overhead Triceps Extension, LBC's, and Lunges (alt Sumo Squats).
10 of each exercise at first station mosey to next station, add 10 reps to each, until you get to 40.
No lie the last station was a killer for some us, the guy with the 25lb was even complaining!

We learned the 2.5lbs was the heaviest weight in the gym... just ask Wonton.

Back down the escalator and last two levels were PAX Choice: Overhead Press, Dead Lifts, Curls, and Squats

Mosey back with weight to the flag.

One Round of Mary.
3 on Flutter Kicks
1 on Battle Ropes 40 count
1 on curl bar
1 on weighted Big Boys
All PAX make one round through.

 Matthew 14:
6But at a birthday party for Herod, Herodias’s daughter performed a dance that greatly pleased him, 7so he promised with a vow to give her anything she wanted. 8At her mother’s urging, the girl said, “I want the head of John the Baptist on a tray!” 9Then the king regretted what he had said; but because of the vow he had made in front of his guests, he issued the necessary orders. 10So John was beheaded in the prison, 11and his head was brought on a tray and given to the girl, who took it to her mother. 12Later, John’s disciples came for his body and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus what had happened.
Jesus Feeds Five Thousand
13As soon as Jesus heard the news, he left in a boat to a remote area to be alone. But the crowds heard where he was headed and followed on foot from many towns.

When reading this chapter, think of Jesus' perspective on John's death. His best friend dies for no apparent 'good' reason... just because a girl danced and a drunk king ran his mouth...
Imaging Jesus' feelings: His mission was about to go public and he just lost his strongest supporter. Imaging the grief, the anger, and what does Jesus do? He goes into SOLITUDE. Each time we see Jesus go into solitude, He comes out stronger. From earlier accounts, His Solitude is spent with God. He knows where his strength comes from, the Heavenly Father. As a leader, we have to seclude ourselves, get our head on straight, and turn off the outside noise sometimes. We all have to keep #accelerating, in the face of adversity!

I pray you know when you need that time, and know we will be here to support you through it!
Its always an honor to lead!
