Competition Q!

Yet another muggy Monday and the first day of school on top of that. Regardless, 8 Pax beat the lure of the fartsack and made it out for the beatdown.

Date of Beatdown:
 2019-08-19

Name-O-Rama:
Goldberg, Rainbird, Old Bay, Bob The Builder, Barney, Hong Kong Phooey, Blacktop and Tag Team.

Warm-Up-Gig:
We circled up at precisely 5:15 for the disclaimer and a little warm up. Couple sets of through the tunnel, side straddle hops and windmils was just enough to get the blood flowing and the lungs pumping.

The Thang That Surely Happened:
It's no secret that competition brings out the best in all of us and that a man will push himself harder when he's going head to head with other men. There's also no doubt that a man will push harder when he's a part of a team than he would as an individual for fear of letting his team mates down.

We put both of those theories to the test this morning. 4 teams of 2 took off in a little competition Q mini race, F3 style. 6 cones with exercises written on them were scattered around down town Conway and a map was passed out to each team. The goal....Be the first team to find the cones, complete all the exercises and make it back in. Pax could hit the cones in any order they wanted. Only requirement was to find them all. Goldberg managed to make that a little harder for teams that went behind him by hiding the cones in the bushes. Good strategy!

After hoofing it somewhere around 2.5 miles, Hong Kong Phooey and Old Bay managed to stretch out a big enough lead to get back first followed closely by the other three teams. Good work men and it was nice to change it up a little this morning.
